Suzuki Parent Studio Series September 2006-May 2007 September 2006 will bring a new plan to Luedke Parent Education information. I have written the elongated newsletter (8 to 10 pages per issue) for the past seven years. These issues are still available and contain a great deal of information for both parents and teachers. They can be ordered on the web site www.parentnewlsetter.com using the printable form and paid for with a credit card. My goal has always been to expose as many parents as possible to my parent education information. I have searched for ways to help Suzuki teachers as they prepare their parents for the important job of teaching their children. Judging from all of the comments I have received the newsletter, has helped the parents who read it on a regular basis. In 2002 in order to encourage more parents and teachers to subscribe to the newsletter I put Volume VI and VII online so that it could be downloaded at a very reasonable price. Some teachers took advantage of that and required their parents to subscribe. In my on-going search for ways to help teachers educate their parents, I have decided to offer an abbreviated newsletter in a studio package that should help teachers to reach all of the parents in their studio. The studio series will allow the teacher to pay a flat fee and make copies of the two page newsletter for everyone in her/his studio. We will be on the honor system as we always have been and assume that no teacher will start running copies for another teacher or studio that has not subscribed. The studio series newsletters will concentrate on a single aspect of Suzuki parenting. The hope is that the brevity and succinct presentation will enable parents to really absorb and use the material. I also feel that a two-page newsletter is something more parents will read and, in fact, read more than once. I started writing the newsletter seven years ago in January 1998. That caused the year (9) issues to run from January to May and September to December. Several teachers have asked me, if I could get the yearly subscription on an academic track September-May so they could include it in their yearly tuition and I am going to do that. In order to do that and not miss any issues I will make January-May 2005 a five month period for teachers to try out the new plan. We will then begin the new full year subscription in September 2005 and run through May 2006. The studio series can only be purchased by teachers for their studio. Because the studio package is a single flat fee, the more students a teacher has the lower the cost to each family. The teacher will bill the parents as part of the ongoing parent training in the studio. See the ordering forms for prices and purchase by hitting the Order Newsletters and teaching materials and then scroll to the bottom of that page. There is an online as well as a printable ordering form depending on which way you wish to subscribe to the newsletter. Both ways can be purchased with a credit card. Since the teacher will be in control of reproducing a copy for each parent, teachers will now be sure to get much needed parent education information in the hands of their families.
